We already showed you First Lady Michelle Obama gracing April?s cover of Vogue and now we get to hear more about her presidential love!
In her casual and candid interview with the mag, Michelle and President Obama both opened up about their relationship and how they manage to keep things together!
So just what is it about the prez that drew Michelle to him?? Well, for one, it was his laid back personality and his way of handling situations!
Michelle explained:
?The most you get from him is ?You know, that is gonna be tough. . . .? There are a lot of times I can?t tell how his day went. Unless I really dig down. Because when he walks through that door, he can let go of it all. And it just doesn?t penetrate his soul. And that?s the beautiful thing for me to see as his wife."
And it sounds like Michelle has been learning some of Barack?s chill tactics, as well!
Mz. Obama spilled:
?Patience and calm I?m borrowing. Or trying to mirror. I?ve learned that from my husband, that sort of, you know, ability to not get too high or too low with changes and bumps in the road . . . to do more breathing in and just going with it. I?m learning that every day.?
As for how they've remained humble and haven?t changed who they are, despite their presidential status?
Michelle stated:
?My mother doesn?t do interviews. but let me tell you: She is not long on pretense. She?s the first one to remind us who we are. And it?s been very helpful having her living with us. . . . We can check reality against her sensibilities.?
Barack also revealed that his wife has made him a better person, stating:
?What Michelle has done is to remind me every day of the virtues of order. Being on time. Hanging up your clothes. Being intentional about planning time with your kids.
There?s no doubt I?m a better man having spent time with Michelle. I would never say that Michelle?s a better woman, but I will say she?s a little more patient.?
The prez then went on to state:
?Michelle?s like Beyonc? in that song, ?Let me upgrade ya!? She upgraded me.?
What better way to flatter your wife than to compare her to Queen Bey! Adorbz! We LOVE it!
It?s so refreshing to see a first couple who breaks down the barriers and are able to gush about their love and just be themselves!
